Wow, thank you! I definitely like fanfic that puts a band-aid over the gaping wound this movie left as well, so I know where you're coming from. My headcanon for this is that it does eventually diverge from canon and end in reconciliation, though that bit didn't feel quite right to write out. I'm pleased it worked for you, though! Thanks! ♥
